He is the author of 14 books, including War Is a Force That Gives Us Meaning, What Every Person Should Know About War, and the just-published The Greatest Evil Is War (Seven Stories Press). He has taught at Columbia University, New York University, Princeton University, and the University of Toronto. as well as students earning their college degrees from Rutgers University in the New Jersey prison system.
